Nimita has more than eleven years of experience in Commercial and other Civil matters. She has worked extensively in the field of Dispute Resolution, Commercial Litigation, Public Law, Insolvency Law, Competition Law and Consumer Law.

Nimita has vast experience in original, appellate and writ jurisdiction matters, execution, competition, arbitral and insolvency matters. She has argued and represented clients before various Courts and Tribunals across India. She has advised several companies regarding complex and general corporate and commercial issues, litigation and business strategy, compliance under various laws, and vetting of contracts. She has also assisted clients in trademarks prosecution.

Her previous stint includes representing and advising clients on a range of law defining matters under the Indian competition law. These traversed issues inter-alia relating to anti-competitive practices and cartelization, abuse of dominant position as well as criteria for levying penalty, particularly with respect to consideration of ‘relevant turnover.

Nimita has represented numerous companies in diverse sectors (manufacturing and services) including Real Estate, Automobile, Cement, Steel, Food and Beverages, FMCG, Hospitality, Online & Print Media, Financial Services, Power etc. in litigation before the NCLAT, NCLT, erstwhile COMPAT, CCI, SEBI, DRT, Consumer Fora (NCDRC, State Commission and District Forum), High Courts across India and Supreme Court. She has obtained several ex-parte ad interim injunctions against invocation of bank guarantees before the High Court of Delhi and NCLAT. She has also worked on several arbitral proceedings representing both private and public companies.

Nimita studied law at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. She was admitted to the Delhi Bar in 2010. She has majored in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. She has previously worked with Kochhar & Co., Argus Partners, Khaitan & Co., Chamber of Mr. Ravinder Narain and Remfry & Sagar.
